About The Position

AutoZone store teams provide customer service by helping customers find automotive parts and solutions, maintaining inventory, and supporting store operations. The Retail Sales Associate helps deliver WOW! Customer Service by assisting customers with product selection and automotive advice, contributing to sales goals, maintaining merchandise and store organization, and supporting a positive, productive team environment. The role also involves learning about automotive parts, tools, and promotions; helping customers with wiper blade, battery, and light bulb installations; and using diagnostic tools to read vehicle codes and recommend solutions.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Basic knowledge of automotive parts is required.
• Must be available for a full-time flexible schedule, including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
• Ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Strong people skills and effective communication in both Spanish and English.
• Previous experience in automotive retail.
• Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification.

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers, provide trustworthy automotive advice, and communicate clearly and professionally.
• Collaborate with managers and teammates, support team members, and demonstrate leadership in daily responsibilities.
• Recommend products, services, and promotions while contributing to sales goals and store performance metrics.
• Restock merchandise, maintain organization, follow cash-handling procedures and loss-prevention policies, and support smooth store operations.
• Use structured processes to complete assigned tasks and follow company safety policies, including using personal protective equipment.
• Stay current on automotive parts, tools, and promotions through AutoZone systems.
• Assist customers with wiper blade, battery, and light bulb installations.
• Use diagnostic tools to read codes from customer vehicles and recommend solutions.
• Lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
