About The Position
As a Retail Selling Colleague, you combine results-focused selling with genuine hospitality to create standout shopping experiences. You learn about customers’ needs, offer personalized recommendations, and connect them with appropriate products and services. On the sales floor and in fitting rooms, you use warmth, product knowledge, and a personal approach to build trust, meet sales goals, and encourage customer loyalty. The role is focused on customer service and selling, rather than simply operating a register. You also help keep the shopping environment clean, organized, and inviting. Colleagues prepare for the day by reviewing sales goals, learning about new arrivals and popular items, and staying informed about trends and promotions. During the day, they engage customers, maintain the sales floor and fitting rooms, update signs and pricing, support merchandise moves, share loyalty-program benefits, and collaborate with teammates to deliver individual and store results.
Requirements
- Flexible availability for days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, with regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to understand and communicate effectively with customers, coworkers, and supervisors.
- Ability to read and understand employment policies and safety rules and procedures in English.
- Comfort communicating and collaborating with customers and colleagues.
- Willingness to meet daily sales goal challenges.
- Enjoyment of meeting people, learning about them, and sharing information.
- Resourcefulness, eagerness to start a new venture, and ability to adapt to changing priorities.
- Ability to work independently and contribute to team dynamics.
- Comfort using electronic devices.
- Ability to talk, lift, move constantly, stand, and reach with arms and hands.
- Ability to stand for at least two consecutive hours and lift at least 25 pounds.
- Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, climb ladders, and reach, including above eye level.
- Close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
- Ability to frequently use computers and other technology, including handheld equipment and cash registers, and process register transactions.
Responsibilities
- Review sales goals, new arrivals, top-selling items, trends, and promotions to prepare for customer interactions.
- Welcome customers and have friendly, personal conversations to understand their needs and build customer relationships.
- Offer personalized recommendations and connect customers with suitable products and services.
- Work toward sales goals through customer engagement and effective selling behaviors.
- Keep the sales floor and fitting rooms clean, organized, recovered, and shoppable.
- Update signs and pricing and support merchandise moves as needed.
- Share the benefits of the Loyalty program, ensure customers have what they need, and provide a sincere, helpful checkout experience.
- Support teammates through honest, caring, and collaborative work.
