About The Position

EZCORP is hiring a Retail Sales Associate / Retail Customer Service Team Member, also referred to as a Pawnbroker, for USA Pawn & Jewelry in Milwaukie, Oregon. The position offers a structured career path in a fast-paced retail environment, beginning with a five-week paid training program. After completing the program, employees receive a $0.50-per-hour raise and promotion to Pawnbroker. Further opportunities include the Pawnbroker Certification Program, which provides an additional $1 per hour, promotion to Lead Pawnbroker (Shift Leader), and a path to Assistant Manager with a six-month training program.

The role involves daily customer interactions, helping customers with sales and reaching mutually satisfactory agreements regarding pawn items such as jewelry, electronics, and musical instruments. Team members contribute to a friendly, courteous, and respectful store environment. The stated pay range is $17.80 to $18.00 per hour, based on experience, with monthly uncapped bonus potential based on store and individual performance.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Customer service, cashier, or retail experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated, positive, and outgoing personality with a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to multitask.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug test after a conditional offer.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of commonly pawned items, such as tools, jewelry, firearms, or electronics.
• Sales background.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide excellent service in person and over the phone.
• Help customers with sales and negotiate mutually satisfactory agreements regarding pawn items.
• Process sales, loans, and extensions.
• Perform store opening and closing duties.
• Adhere to company policies, procedures, and regulations.
