About The Position

The Retail Sales Associate is responsible for delivering a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers, following customer experience principles, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. The role adheres to operational, merchandise, and loss prevention standards and may involve cross-training in multiple store areas to support business needs.

Associates support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect; follow established procedures for transactions and merchandising; and contribute to store recovery, cleanliness, safety, and shrink reduction. The position is temporary and located at TJ Maxx Store 1506 in Kissimmee, Florida. Starting pay is $15.00 to $15.50 per hour, with actual pay determined by relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities

• Role model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
• Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
• Promote credit and loyalty programs.
• Uphold the merchandising philosophy and follow established merchandising procedures and standards.
• Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
• Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
• Maintain organization, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the sales floor and help maintain the cleanliness of the entire store.
• Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
• Adhere to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
• Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
• Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• May be cross-trained to work in multiple store areas to support business needs.
