Retail Sales Associates - Temporary
About The Position
The Retail Sales Associate is responsible for delivering a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers, embodying customer experience principles, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. The role follows operational, merchandise, and loss prevention standards and may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs. Associates model established customer experience practices, promote a positive store culture, accurately process purchases and returns, and promote credit and loyalty programs. They maintain merchandising standards, prepare merchandise for the sales floor, participate in store recovery and cleanliness, support shrink-reduction and safety programs, and follow applicable labor laws and company policies. Other duties may be assigned. This is a temporary position at the TJ Maxx store at 3215 Vineland Road, Kissimmee, Florida. The starting pay range is $15.00–$15.50 per hour; actual starting pay depends on relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities
- Deliver a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers.
- Model customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
- Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
- Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
- Promote credit and loyalty programs.
- Maintain the merchandising philosophy and follow established merchandising procedures and standards.
- Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
- Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
- Maintain sales-floor organization, cleanliness, and recovery standards, and help maintain the cleanliness of the entire store.
- Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
- Adhere to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
- Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
- Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
