About The Position
AutoZone store teams provide customer service and help customers find parts and solutions for their automotive needs. Store employees maintain inventory, assist with product selection, provide automotive advice, support sales, and help maintain store operations. The Senior Retail Sales Associate role focuses on delivering WOW! Customer Service, exceeding customer expectations, and contributing to a positive and knowledgeable retail environment. It offers opportunities for career growth in an essential industry serving the motoring public. The associate assists customers with automotive parts and product recommendations, supports teammates and managers, contributes to sales goals and store performance, and helps keep inventory and operations organized. The role also includes following safety procedures, assisting with certain installations, and using diagnostic tools to read vehicle codes and recommend solutions.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Basic knowledge of automotive parts is required.
- Ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
- Availability for a full-time flexible schedule, including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Strong people skills and effective communication in both Spanish and English.
- Previous experience in automotive retail.
- Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification.
Responsibilities
- Engage with customers, provide trustworthy automotive advice, and communicate clearly and professionally.
- Collaborate with managers and teammates, support team members, and demonstrate leadership in daily responsibilities.
- Recommend products, services, and promotions while contributing to sales goals and store performance metrics.
- Restock and organize merchandise, follow cash-handling and loss-prevention policies, and support smooth store operations.
- Complete assigned tasks using structured processes and follow company safety policies, including use of personal protective equipment.
- Keep current on automotive parts, tools, and promotions using AutoZone systems.
- Assist customers with wiper blade, battery, and light bulb installations.
- Use diagnostic tools to read codes from customer vehicles and recommend solutions.
