About The Position

As a Seasonal Retail Selling Colleague at Macy’s, you combine results-oriented selling with genuine hospitality to create memorable shopping experiences. You learn about customers’ needs, offer personalized recommendations, connect them with appropriate products and services, and work toward sales goals through customer engagement and effective selling behaviors. You help customers on the sales floor and in fitting rooms, build trust and loyalty, and contribute to an inviting shopping environment. Seasonal colleagues are typically scheduled for 10–20 hours per week, depending on business needs and colleague availability.

Requirements

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers and engage them in friendly, personal conversations to understand their needs and build customer relationships.
• Recommend products and services, share product knowledge, and work toward daily sales goals.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and shoppable sales floor.
• Merchandise new receipts and support merchandise moves.
• Process damages, testers, and selected merchandise for return to vendors.
• Update signs and pricing.
• Share the benefits of the Loyalty program, ensure customers have what they need, and thank them for their visit.
• Review sales goals and stay informed about new arrivals, top-selling items, trends, and promotions.
• Collaborate with teammates to support customers and achieve individual and store results.
