About The Position

AutoZone store teams provide customer service and help customers find automotive parts and solutions. They maintain inventory, assist with product selection, and provide advice while supporting sales and store operations. The Retail Sales Associate delivers customer service, helps customers with automotive needs, supports the store team, and contributes to a positive retail environment. The role includes recommending products and promotions, maintaining merchandise and store organization, following cash-handling and loss-prevention procedures, and assisting with basic installation and diagnostic services.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Basic knowledge of automotive parts is required.
• Ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
• Availability for a full-time flexible schedule, including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Strong people skills and effective communication in both Spanish and English.
• Previous experience in automotive retail.
• Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification.

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers, provide trustworthy automotive advice, and communicate clearly and professionally.
• Collaborate with managers and teammates to create a productive store environment; support team members and demonstrate leadership in daily responsibilities.
• Recommend products, services, and promotions while contributing to sales goals and store performance metrics.
• Restock merchandise, maintain organization, follow cash-handling and loss-prevention policies, and support smooth store operations.
• Use structured processes to complete tasks and follow safety policies, including the use of personal protective equipment.
• Stay current on automotive parts, tools, and promotions using AutoZone systems.
• Assist customers with wiper blade, battery, and light bulb installations.
• Use diagnostic tools to read codes from customer vehicles and recommend solutions.
• Lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
