About The Position

As a full-time Verizon Retail Sales Associate, you will work with a retail team to drive sales and help customers find technology solutions that meet their needs. You will build customer connections, ask questions to uncover needs, recommend products and services, and close sales using clear communication. The role also includes ongoing training and development in store operations, merchandising, and inventory. You may contact interested current Verizon customers by phone or text and take part in Verizon-sponsored community events outside the store. Mandarin fluency is required, along with English fluency. The role is onsite at a defined work location and is scheduled for 40 hours per week. The listed starting base pay rate is $18.27 per hour; the posting also describes a $16.00–$21.00 hourly base-pay range, sales commissions, and a potential $2,500 sign-on bonus, subject to award terms and conditions.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
At least one year of relevant experience, demonstrated through work experience and/or military experience.
Fluency in Mandarin; the posting also specifies bilingual fluency in English and Mandarin.
Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays; schedules are provided four weeks in advance.
Openness to picking up additional shifts, typically during summer, November through December, and/or peak vacation periods.

Responsibilities

Generate retail sales by using technology knowledge and customer service to expand the Verizon network.
Learn about customers’ needs by building connections and asking appropriate questions.
Present product insights and solution recommendations that offer customers a complete sales solution.
Close sales by communicating effectively and providing straightforward technology solutions.
Participate in ongoing training and develop skills in merchandising, inventory, and other store operations.
Potentially contact interested current Verizon customers by outbound calls and text messages.
Engage with the community at off-site Verizon-sponsored events to grow a customer base.
