About The Position

2020 Companies is hiring a Bilingual Retail Sales Associate to represent Reliant by NRG and promote electricity plans in retail, kiosk, and event settings. The role involves engaging with customers, assessing their needs, explaining products and services, helping them choose suitable energy solutions, and driving new enrollments and sales. The associate works in a fast-paced retail environment, builds relationships with customers and teammates, and contributes to individual and team sales goals. The position includes paid training, base pay with uncapped commissions, and opportunities for internal career advancement. The posting states average combined earnings of $1,000–$1,350 per week, with a $16.00-per-hour guarantee and top earners reaching up to $2,500 per week. The associate is expected to maintain a professional, customer-focused presence; accurately document and report sales and other activity; complete paperwork; and keep the workstation or kiosk clean, organized, functional, and presentable. Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to event locations are required. Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays is needed.

Requirements

Fluency in English and Spanish, including the ability to read, write, and speak Spanish.
High school diploma or equivalent.
At least six months of prior sales, retail, telecommunications, or marketing experience.
Strong experience in retail or event sales, or event marketing.
Demonstrated knowledge of products and services.
Strong communication, presentation, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to multitask.
Commitment to integrity, customer satisfaction, and maintaining customer confidentiality.
Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to event locations.
Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Comfort with physical tasks such as lifting and event setup and teardown.

Responsibilities

Promote Reliant electricity plans to consumers and help drive new enrollments.
Sell products and services in retail stores, kiosks, and event environments.
Welcome customers, offer assistance, and direct them to displays as appropriate.
Assess customer needs and suggest products or services that meet those needs.
Provide product and service information and help customers make confident selections.
Identify customer needs and handle objections.
Meet or exceed personal monthly sales goals and established monthly or weekly quotas.
Build strong relationships with customers and teammates and contribute to team goals.
Accurately document and report sales and track and communicate activity to Retail Operations.
Submit paperwork completely and accurately.
Keep the workstation or kiosk clean, well-organized, functional, and presentable.
Maintain professional interactions with customers and fellow employees.
Meet regular and prompt attendance expectations and support customer satisfaction.
