About The Position

EZCORP is hiring a Retail Sales Associate for its EZPawn location at 5602 Mykawa, Houston, Texas 77033. The position offers an opportunity to build a career through structured training and advancement in a fast-paced retail environment. New team members start as trainees in a five-week paid training program and receive a $0.50-per-hour raise and promotion to Pawnbroker upon completion. Team members may continue through the Pawnbroker Certification Program for an additional $1 per hour, pursue Lead Pawnbroker (Shift Manager) opportunities, and apply for a Store Manager in Training position with a 12-week training program.

In this customer-facing role, you will assist customers with sales and pawn transactions involving items such as jewelry, electronics, and musical instruments. You will help create a friendly, courteous, and respectful store environment. The advertised pay range is $11.00 to $15.00 per hour, based on experience, with additional bonus potential.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Customer service, cashier, or retail experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to multitask.
• Self-motivated, positive, and outgoing personality with a strong work ethic.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug test.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of commonly pawned items, such as tools, jewelry, firearms, or electronics.
• Sales background.
• Bilingual ability.

Responsibilities

• Greet and interact with customers in person and by phone, providing excellent customer service.
• Assist customers with sales and pawn items, working toward mutually satisfying agreements.
• Process sales, loans, and extensions.
• Perform store opening and closing duties.
• Adhere to company policies, procedures, and regulations.
