About The Position

AutoZone store teams are the frontline of customer service, helping customers find automotive parts and solutions while maintaining inventory and supporting store operations. The Retail Sales Associate delivers customer service, provides automotive advice, contributes to sales goals, and helps create a positive and knowledgeable retail environment. The role includes assisting customers with product selection and installations, using diagnostic tools to read vehicle codes, maintaining merchandise and store organization, and following cash-handling, loss-prevention, and safety procedures. The position offers opportunities for career growth in an essential industry serving the motoring public.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Basic knowledge of automotive parts is required.
• Availability for a full-time flexible schedule, including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
• Ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Strong people skills and effective communication in both Spanish and English.
• Previous experience in automotive retail.
• Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification.

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers, provide trustworthy automotive advice, and communicate clearly and professionally.
• Collaborate with managers and teammates, support team members, and demonstrate leadership in daily responsibilities.
• Recommend products, services, and promotions while contributing to sales goals and store performance metrics.
• Restock merchandise, maintain store organization, follow cash-handling and loss-prevention procedures, and support smooth store operations.
• Use structured processes to complete tasks efficiently and follow company safety policies, including use of personal protective equipment.
• Stay current on automotive parts, tools, and promotions using AutoZone systems.
• Assist customers with wiper blade, battery, and light bulb installations.
• Use diagnostic tools to read codes from customer vehicles and recommend solutions.
• Lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
