About The Position

EZCORP is hiring a Retail Sales Associate / Retail Customer Service Team Member (Pawnbroker) at EZPawn in Eagle Pass, Texas. The role offers a structured career path in a fast-paced retail environment, beginning with a five-week paid trainee program. Upon completion, employees receive a $0.50-per-hour raise and promotion to Pawnbroker. Further development opportunities include the Pawnbroker Certification Program, which provides an additional $1 per hour, promotion to Lead Pawnbroker (Shift Leader), and a path to Assistant Manager that includes a six-month training program.

The position involves daily customer interaction and helping customers reach mutually satisfying agreements regarding pawn items such as jewelry, electronics, and musical instruments. Team members create a friendly, courteous, and respectful customer environment while assisting with sales and pawn transactions. Pay is based on experience, from $11.50 to $12.50 per hour, with monthly uncapped bonus potential tied to store and individual performance.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Customer service, cashier, or retail experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to multitask.
• Self-motivated, positive, and outgoing personality with a strong work ethic.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug test after a conditional offer.
• Adherence to company policies, procedures, and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers in person and by phone, providing excellent customer service.
• Process sales, loans, and extensions.
