About The Position

Pearle Vision is hiring a Sales Associate for its Buffalo Grove and Gurnee, Illinois locations. The role focuses on attracting and retaining patients through an exceptional patient experience, supporting patient retention, and promoting doctor satisfaction. The associate helps drive store sales, assists patients with eyewear and vision-care needs, and supports store merchandising and operations. The position may be full-time or part-time.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, or comparable experience typically achieved with a minimum of 1–2 years in a retail environment.
• Ability to sell using sales skills and be accountable for sales results.
• Experience and proven results in a retail or customer service establishment.
• Ability to present and implement decisive and creative solutions to opportunities to grow the business.
• Ability to communicate enthusiastically and concisely to meet or exceed patient expectations.
• Ability to foster positive, results-oriented relationships with associates and doctors.
• Attention to detail and follow-up.
• Ability to manage priorities through adaptability and flexibility.
• Willingness to take calculated risks.

Responsibilities

• Drive profitable store sales by fostering a retail selling culture, practicing through role-playing, and using effective retail sales skills.
• Develop professional business relationships with other associates and doctors.
• Fill ophthalmic eyeglass prescriptions and fit and adapt lenses and frames.
• Use optical prescriptions in conjunction with patients’ visual requirements.
• Recommend lenses and lens coatings suited to patient needs.
• Assist patients in selecting frames and coordinate frames with prescriptions and patient needs.
• Perform appropriate optical-related measurements.
• Ensure a quality patient experience through correct pricing, point-of-sale entry, and realistic delivery-time quotes.
• Provide patients with appropriate guidance regarding Managed Vision Care.
• Assist with ensuring stores are effectively merchandised and presented according to the planogram and company standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Store Manager.
