About The Position

EZCORP is hiring a Retail Sales Associate / Retail Customer Service Team Member (Pawnbroker) for its EZPawn store at 5809-A Weber Rd., Corpus Christi, Texas. The role offers a career path in a fast-paced retail environment, beginning with a five-week paid trainee program. After completing the program, employees receive a $0.50-per-hour raise and promotion to Pawnbroker. Further development includes a Pawnbroker Certification Program with an additional $1 per hour, opportunities to become a Lead Pawnbroker (Shift Leader), and a path to Assistant Manager that includes a six-month training program.

The position involves daily customer interaction and helping customers with sales and pawn transactions involving items such as jewelry, electronics, and musical instruments. Team members are expected to provide a friendly, courteous, and respectful customer experience and help customers reach mutually satisfying agreements. Pay is based on experience, from $12 to $14 per hour, with monthly uncapped bonus potential based on store and individual performance.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Customer service, cashier, or retail experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to multitask.
• Self-motivated, positive, and outgoing personality with a strong work ethic.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug test after a conditional offer.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of commonly pawned items, such as tools, jewelry, firearms, or electronics.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service by greeting and interacting with customers in person and by phone.
• Process sales, loans, and extensions.
