About The Position

EZCORP is hiring a Retail Sales Associate / Retail Customer Service Team Member (Pawnbroker) for its EZPawn location in Eagle Pass, Texas. The position offers a structured career path in a fast-paced retail environment, beginning with a five-week paid training program. Upon completing the program, trainees receive a $0.50-per-hour raise and promotion to Pawnbroker. Employees may continue into a Pawnbroker Certification Program for an additional $1 per hour, pursue a Lead Pawnbroker (Shift Leader) role, and follow a path toward Assistant Manager, which includes a six-month training program.

The role involves daily customer interaction, assisting with sales, and reaching mutually satisfactory agreements about pawn items such as jewelry, electronics, and musical instruments. Team members are expected to provide a friendly, courteous, and respectful customer experience. Pay is based on experience, and the position offers competitive wages and monthly uncapped bonuses based on store and individual performance.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Customer service, cashier, or retail experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated, positive, and outgoing personality with a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to multitask.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug test after a conditional offer.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of commonly pawned items such as tools, jewelry, firearms, or electronics.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide excellent customer service in person and by phone.
• Assist customers with sales and pawn transactions involving items such as jewelry, electronics, and musical instruments.
• Process sales, loans, and extensions.
• Perform store opening and closing duties.
• Follow company policies, procedures, and regulations.
