About The Position

AutoZone store teams provide customer service and help customers find automotive parts and solutions. Store employees maintain inventory, assist with product selection, and provide automotive advice while supporting sales and store operations. The Retail Sales Associate delivers customer service by helping customers, recommending products and services, and contributing to a positive retail environment. The position also supports inventory upkeep, safety, and daily store operations. Associates may assist customers with wiper blade, battery, and light bulb installations and use diagnostic tools to read vehicle codes and recommend solutions.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Basic knowledge of automotive parts is required.
• Ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
• Availability for a full-time flexible schedule, including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Strong people skills and effective communication in both Spanish and English.
• Previous automotive retail experience.
• Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification.

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers, provide automotive advice, and communicate clearly and professionally.
• Collaborate with managers and teammates, support team members, and demonstrate leadership in daily work.
• Recommend products, services, and promotions while contributing to sales goals and store performance metrics.
• Restock merchandise, keep the store organized, follow cash-handling and loss-prevention procedures, and support smooth store operations.
• Use structured processes to complete assigned tasks and follow safety policies, including use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Stay current on automotive parts, tools, and promotions using AutoZone systems.
• Assist customers with wiper blade, battery, and light bulb installations.
• Use diagnostic tools to read codes from customer vehicles and recommend solutions.
• Lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
