About The Position

The Retail Sales Associate assists store management in achieving sales targets and supporting long-term business growth through premium customer service and by maintaining store standards. As a member of the Hurley team, the associate represents the brand and contributes to a rewarding customer experience. This is a short-term, part-time role at the Hurley San Ysidro retail location. The associate uses customer service training principles to build strong customer connections, meet sales goals, provide product expertise, and support store operations as business needs require. Responsibilities may span the front and back of house, shipping and receiving, store opening and closing, and customization.

Requirements

High school/secondary school diploma or equivalent.
At least 1 year of work experience.
Ability to understand direction and communicate in English.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers and management staff.
Courteous and helpful attitude.
Ability to manage personal time and accomplish multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to twist, bend, squat, reach, climb a ladder, and stand for extended periods.
Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

Use customer service training principles and build strong connections with customers.
Understand sales expectations and achieve targeted sales goals.
Ensure 100% zone coverage.
Develop and demonstrate a high level of product expertise.
Understand and follow retail standards, including attendance, conduct standards, and Matter of Respect.
Complete daily restocking.
Maintain merchandising standards.
Support other areas of the retail location as needed, including front of house, back of house, shipping and receiving, store opening and closing, and customization.
Perform other duties as assigned.
