Retail Sales Associate – Full Time
About The Position
AutoZone store teams provide customer service, help customers find the right automotive parts and solutions, maintain well-stocked inventory, and support store sales and operations. The Retail Sales Associate delivers WOW! Customer Service, offers trustworthy automotive advice, and helps create a positive, knowledgeable retail environment. The position provides opportunities for growth in an essential industry serving the motoring public. The role includes assisting customers with product selection, recommending products and promotions, maintaining merchandise and store organization, and supporting daily store operations. Associates also assist with certain installations and use diagnostic tools to read vehicle codes and recommend solutions. The position requires a flexible full-time schedule, including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Basic knowledge of automotive parts is required.
- Ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
- Availability for a flexible full-time schedule, including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Strong people skills and effective communication in both Spanish and English.
- Previous experience in automotive retail.
- Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification.
Responsibilities
- Engage with customers, provide trustworthy automotive advice, and communicate clearly and professionally.
- Collaborate with managers and teammates to create a motivated, productive store environment; support team members and demonstrate leadership in daily responsibilities.
- Recommend products, services, and promotions while contributing to sales goals and store performance metrics.
- Restock merchandise, maintain store organization, follow cash-handling procedures and loss-prevention policies, and support smooth store operations.
- Use structured processes to complete assigned tasks and follow company safety policies, including use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Stay current on automotive parts, tools, and promotions through AutoZone systems.
- Assist customers with wiper blade, battery, and light bulb installations.
- Use diagnostic tools to read codes from customer vehicles and recommend solutions.
