About The Position

AutoZone store teams provide customer service, help customers find automotive parts and solutions, maintain well-stocked inventory, and support store operations. The Retail Sales Associate delivers customer service by helping customers select products, offering automotive advice, and contributing to sales and store performance. The role also includes maintaining merchandise and store organization, supporting teammates, following safety and cash-handling procedures, assisting with select installations, and using diagnostic tools to help recommend solutions. The posting also refers to the role as Senior Retail Sales Associate.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Basic knowledge of automotive parts is required.
• Ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
• Availability for a full-time flexible schedule, including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Strong people skills and effective communication in both Spanish and English.
• Previous experience in automotive retail.
• Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification.

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers, provide trustworthy automotive advice, and communicate clearly and professionally.
• Collaborate with managers and teammates, support team members, and demonstrate leadership in daily responsibilities.
• Recommend products, services, and promotions while contributing to sales goals and store performance metrics.
• Restock merchandise, maintain store organization, follow cash-handling and loss-prevention policies, and support smooth store operations.
• Follow structured processes, company safety policies, and use personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Stay current on automotive parts, tools, and promotions through AutoZone systems.
• Assist customers with wiper blade, battery, and light bulb installations.
• Use diagnostic tools to read vehicle codes and recommend solutions.
