As an Ambassador, you drive sales by connecting with customers, sharing vendor product knowledge, and recommending additional items. You cultivate repeat clientele and serve as an expert for the vendor, brand, or area you represent. You communicate customer needs and shopping patterns to leadership and vendors, and execute strategic merchandising initiatives. The role focuses on providing an exceptional customer experience, building brand-specific clientele, supporting marketing, and planning and leading vendor-sponsored and other customer-facing events. You also maintain the sales floor, use Macy’s point-of-sale systems and company devices, and collaborate with vendors, personal stylists, store leadership, colleagues, customers, and communities. Full-time colleagues are typically scheduled for 30 or more hours per week, while part-time colleagues are typically scheduled for 12–24 hours per week. Hours depend on business needs and colleague availability. The position requires flexible availability, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, and regular, dependable attendance and punctuality. It also involves frequent use of computers and other technology, standing and moving for extended periods, lifting at least 30 pounds, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders.
