Requirements

  • Bachelors/Associate degree in engineering or other related field or equivalent preferred.
  • 5-10 years of installation and/or field operations experience, preferable with IP Video and EAS products and solutions.
  • Overall general company knowledge of products and services.
  • Excellent leadership skills.
  • Excellent analytical / problem solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills to varying audience groups and levels.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to be assertive when needed.
  • Demonstrates sensitivity to others’ perspectives, with the ability to influence behavior and effectively de-escalate or redirect challenging situations.
  • Ability to work in a global environment; Cultural adaptability; Virtual and remote team management ability.
  • Flexible and responsive to input, capable to work independently and with minimum supervision.
  • Advanced computer / MS Windows skills, to include software applications such as Word, Excel, Power Point, and various MS Power Apps.
  • Ability to travel 10-20%, especially during kick-off and closure/sign-off meetings to meet customer and local teams.
  • Driver’s license and personal vehicle preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • PMP Certification preferred.
  • Knowledge on analytics and design tools such as PowerBi, Smartsheet, AutoCad, PDF editor, etc.
  • Field Service experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead field teams ensuring each function manages their deliverables to meet project schedule, scope, and budget.
  • Represent the business unit at regular accountability and cadence meetings.
  • Clearly and concisely present the status of all open projects to internal and external/customer leadership and stakeholders.
  • Manage the overall planning, execution, and delivery of projects.
  • Lead the work performed by contractors and Field Service Technicians in the field, utilizing extensive installation experience to advise and guide teams.
  • Define project scope of work, roles, tasks, milestones, budgets, and measures of success.
  • Contribute to the installation designs for assigned projects.
  • Develop project estimates and plans to manage end-to-end project execution.
  • Ensure requirements are captured accurately and completely, and develop proper sign-off instructions and project closure acceptance documentation.
  • Manage scope creep and Change Requests.
  • Create and maintain project documentation.
  • Facilitate day-to-day coordination while adhering to standards and expectations.
  • Act as the link between the assigned IT team, project resources, and key stakeholders.
  • Ensure project closure, including completion of lessons learned and required documentation.
  • Solution, run, control, and report on the quality of installation work performed by the field.
  • Act as a Level 2 escalation point for questions/issues from field teams.
  • Work directly with Territory Managers to ensure field installation work aligns with defined requirements and installation design guides.
  • Perform Quality Control tasks of installations and report on progress/health to the Account Program Manager and respective Field Territory Managers.
  • Perform overall management for work performed in the field by contractors and Field Service Technicians, ensuring completion as planned.
  • Review labor resources and cost estimates for field resources, and track/report on field team profitability for managed teams/sites.
  • Prepare site-by-site installation schedules in partnership with Territory Managers.
  • Visit sites to assist with Proof of Concepts, Scope Details, and Customer interface meetings at Client’s Headquarters.
  • Work with Territory Managers to acquire field resources.
  • Work with Project Technical Lead to ensure field teams have the knowledge and skills for quality installations.
  • Hold Field Teams accountable for quality performance and provide performance feedback to the account team and Field Leadership.
  • Provide all installation instructions, requirements documentation, and information to field teams/contractors prior to scheduled installations.
  • Provide Level 2 answers/resolution to questions/issues called out from Territory Managers (Level 1 contact).
  • Timely and accurate collection and assembly of installation progress/status from field resources for the Account Project Manager.
  • Escalate unsolvable questions/issues to the overall Project Technical Lead.
  • Offer assistance where needed to maintain efficient workflow.
