About The Position

Cardinal Health Innovative Delivery Solutions is seeking a PRN Retail Pharmacy Technician for a community health center retail pharmacy. This role covers PTO and works on an as-needed basis. The pharmacy is located at 72nd Street Pharmacy, 220 West 7200 South, Ste A, Midvale, UT 84047. Pharmacy hours are Monday-Friday 8:45 am-5:15 pm. Our technicians play a vital role in delivering medication and pharmaceutical care to communities in need, building relationships with patients, and assisting pharmacists in preparing and dispensing prescriptions.

Requirements

Registered Pharmacy Technician in the state of Utah (required)
Fluent in Spanish, required

Nice To Haves

2 years or more of retail pharmacy technician-related experience, preferred
340B experience, preferred
May require vendor credentialing

Responsibilities

Maintain professional working relationships at all times, with the pharmacy personnel, physicians, nurses, and other medical personnel.
Understand that the requirements of working in a pharmacy are varied and may change as demands on the department change.
Be available to the customer/patients at all times.
Maintain friendly and helpful attitude at all times when dealing with customers.
Maintains a safe and clean pharmacy by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Organizes medications for pharmacist to dispense by profiling prescriptions; preparing labels and calculating quantities.
Ensures medication availability by delivering medications to patients and ordering when needed.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Works with pharmacy team to ensure best practices are being followed with regards to 340B.
