About The Position

Cardinal Health Innovative Delivery Solutions is seeking a PRN Retail Pharmacy Technician (Bilingual Spanish) to work in a community health center retail pharmacy. With over 45 years of experience, Cardinal Health provides access to best practice strategies and tactics to control costs, improve workflow, and enhance safety. This role is crucial in delivering medication and pharmaceutical care to communities in need, involving close patient relationships and assisting pharmacists in preparing and delivering prescriptions. The pharmacy is located at 72nd Street Pharmacy, 220 West 7200 South, Ste A, Midvale, UT 84047. Pharmacy hours are Monday-Friday 8:45 am-5:15 pm. This position covers PTO and is on an as-needed basis.

Requirements

Registered Pharmacy Technician in the state of Utah (required)
Fluent in Spanish, required

Nice To Haves

2 years or more of retail pharmacy technician-related experience, preferred
340B experience, preferred
May require vendor credentialing

Responsibilities

Maintain professional working relationships at all times, with the pharmacy personnel, physicians, nurses, and other medical personnel.
Understand that the requirements of working in a pharmacy are varied and may change as demands on the department change.
Be available to the customer/patients at all times.
Maintain friendly and helpful attitude at all times when dealing with customers.
Maintains a safe and clean pharmacy by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Organizes medications for pharmacist to dispense by profiling prescriptions; preparing labels and calculating quantities.
Ensures medication availability by delivering medications to patients and ordering when needed.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Works with pharmacy team to ensure best practices are being followed with regards to 340B.
