Retail Pharmacy Technician (Bilingual Spanish)
About The Position
Cardinal Health Innovative Delivery Solutions is seeking a highly motivated Retail Pharmacy Technician to work in a company-owned retail contract pharmacy. This role is crucial for delivering medication and pharmaceutical care in communities in need, involving close relationships with patients and assisting pharmacists in preparing and delivering prescriptions. The position is based at the United Health Centers Pharmacy in Selma, CA, with potential travel to other United Health Centers Pharmacies as needed. The pharmacy hours are Monday: 11:00 AM - 7:30 PM, Tuesday through Friday: 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM, and Saturday: 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM, with hours subject to change. This role requires working Saturday rotations at sites with Saturday pharmacy hours and includes mileage reimbursement for travel above the normal commute.
Requirements
- High school degree or equivalent preferred
- Registered Pharmacy Technician in the state of California required
- 2 plus years with retail pharmacy technician related experience, preferred
- 340B experience preferred
- Fluent in Spanish required
- May require vendor credentialing
Responsibilities
- Maintain professional working relationships at all times, with the pharmacy personnel, physicians, nurses, and other medical personnel.
- Understand that the requirements of working in a pharmacy are varied and may change as demands on the department change.
- Be available to the customer/patients at all times.
- Maintain friendly and helpful attitude at all times when dealing with customers.
- Maintains a safe and clean pharmacy by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Organizes medications for pharmacist to dispense by profiling prescriptions; preparing labels and calculating quantities.
- Ensures medication availability by delivering medications to patients and ordering when needed.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Works with pharmacy team to ensure best practices are being followed with regards to 340B.
- The ability to travel at a moment's notice to cover other United Health Centers Pharmacies, as needed, is a job requirement.
- Must work an eight-hour shift minimum, at least once every 90 days.
