About The Position
The Retail Pharmacy Tech works in the Retail Pharmacy at Prime Healthcare St Francis Hospital in Evanston, Illinois. Under the supervision of a Pharmacist, the technician assists with the daily operation of the Pharmacy. This is a per-diem, variable-shift position requiring flexibility during the week and availability for at least two shifts per week, either 7 a.m.–3 p.m. or 11 a.m.–7 p.m.
Requirements
- PTCB certification is required or must be obtained within six months of hire; this requirement may be waived for current pharmacy students enrolled in an accredited School of Pharmacy.
- State Pharmacy Technician License/Registration is required if required by state regulations.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Nice To Haves
- Previous pharmacy technician experience preferred.
- Graduation from an ASHP-accredited or equivalent pharmacy technician training program preferred.
- 340B program experience preferred if working at a 340B facility.
