About The Position

Cardinal Health Innovative Delivery Solutions is seeking a Part Time Retail Pharmacist to work at Howard Brown Community Health Center. This position is responsible for dispensing medications, providing patient consultation, medication therapy management, and potentially managing high-risk patients. Our pharmacists play a crucial role in delivering medication and pharmaceutical care in communities that are most in need. This role is part of a program designed specifically for healthcare facilities, addressing population health management needs and improving patient access and quality of care.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy required, PharmD preferred.
  • Pharmacist registration in the state where the position is located.
  • Immunization Certification or willingness to become a certified immunizer within 90 days of hire.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule.
  • Interpersonal relations and customer service skills.

Nice To Haves

  • 340B experience preferred.
  • Experience working with specialty drugs (HIV/AIDS/Hepatitis C), preferred.
  • May require vendor credentialing.

Responsibilities

  • Dispensing and ensuring safe and efficient delivery of medications to all customers.
  • Maintaining open communication and being available to customers and practitioner sites for consultation.
  • Participating in the supervision of technical staff.
  • Ensuring the pharmacy is compliant with best practices for 340B contract pharmacies.
  • Providing professional consultation to both patients and prescribers of partner health facilities.
  • Completing pharmacy operational requirements by organizing and directing technicians' workflow, verifying their preparation and labeling of pharmaceuticals, and verifying order entries, charges, and inspections.
