About The Position

Chuck Latham Associates (CLA), a pet sales and branding agency, is hiring an Assisted Sales Representative (ASR) to promote multiple product lines in specialty retailer stores. This is a professional, part-time merchandising position with monthly flexible hours. Compensation is hourly, plus mileage and drive-time reimbursement and a monthly smart device stipend. The role involves merchandising and brand-promotion work in assigned stores, building relationships with store personnel and customers, and using a smart device to document completed work. Stores are generally visited monthly, with additional work depending on surge projects. Seasonal demonstration opportunities may be available.

Requirements

Strong technical skills with smartphone or tablet technology.
Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, which may occasionally include weekends.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with the CLA team, store associates, and customers.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, including the ability to plan and complete multiple priorities.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, meet deadlines, and follow instructions accurately.
Dependability, including completing work on time, responding to management direction, and seeking feedback to improve performance.
Must have a smart device or tablet with access to reliable internet.
Must have a valid driver's license.
Must have a reliable vehicle for work use and at least the minimum required auto insurance coverage.
Must be able to meet the physical demands of the job, including reaching, bending, crouching, kneeling, and walking.
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

Perform merchandising tasks such as compliance checks, improving on-shelf availability, installing point-of-purchase materials, building incremental displays, completing cut-ins and resets, and educating staff.
Promote brand awareness and sales by engaging with and educating store associates and customers.
Build and maintain relationships as a liaison between clients, store associates, and store management.
Visit assigned stores monthly within the territory, with additional workload dependent on surge projects.
Use a smart device in stores to take photos and submit completion surveys.
Participate in seasonal demonstration opportunities when available.
Communicate and collaborate with the supervisor on other assigned duties.
