About The Position

Kalan, a third-generation consumer products company, is seeking energetic, detail-oriented Retail Merchandisers to maintain product displays at assigned retail stores. This independent contractor role involves short assignments, usually about two visits per month and increasing to weekly during the holiday season. Hours are flexible, and compensation is a flat rate per visit, making the role suitable for supplemental income. Work is performed in person at assigned stores. Merchandisers must organize and refresh displays according to a planogram, remove damaged or discontinued products, and complete the work within five days of shipment arrival. After each visit, they take date-stamped photos, upload them through the reporting system, and email an invoice for payment. Prior merchandising or retail experience is a plus but is not required.

Requirements

Must be reliable, professional, and punctual, and able to work independently.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Comfortable using a smartphone or tablet with internet access for reporting.
Able to follow written instructions and communicate by email or phone.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Able to regularly lift 40 pounds and reach, bend, crouch, kneel, push, pull, and walk.
Able to stand for several hours at a time.

Merchandising or retail experience is a plus, but not required.
