Temporary Retail Merchandise Associate
About The Position
The Temporary Retail Merchandise Associate is responsible for delivering a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers, following customer experience principles, and maintaining a clean and organized store. The associate follows operational, merchandise, and loss prevention standards and may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs. The role includes supporting a positive store culture, processing customer purchases and returns, promoting credit and loyalty programs, merchandising and preparing merchandise for the sales floor, and participating in store recovery, cleanliness, safety, and shrink-reduction efforts. Associates provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback, follow labor laws and company policies, and may perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities
- Deliver a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers and following established customer experience principles.
- Model customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
- Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
- Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
- Promote credit and loyalty programs.
- Maintain the merchandising philosophy and follow established merchandising procedures and standards.
- Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
- Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
- Maintain sales-floor organization, cleanliness, and recovery standards and help maintain cleanliness throughout the store.
- Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
- Follow labor laws, policies, and procedures.
- Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
- Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
- Work in multiple store areas when cross-trained to support business needs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
