About The Position

The Temporary Retail Merchandise Associate is responsible for delivering a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers, following customer experience principles, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. The associate follows operational, merchandise, and loss-prevention standards and may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs. The role supports store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect; assists with sales-floor merchandising and recovery; processes merchandise according to company procedures; and helps meet store safety and shrink-reduction goals. The position is based at the TJ Maxx store at 127 Stonebrook Pl, Jackson, Tennessee. Starting pay is USD $13.00–$13.50 per hour, with actual pay depending on relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities

Role-model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
Promote credit and loyalty programs.
Maintain the merchandising philosophy and follow established merchandising procedures and standards.
Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards on the sales floor and help maintain cleanliness throughout the store.
Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
Follow labor laws, policies, and procedures.
Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
