About The Position

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking a Retail Manager. In this role, you will help the Director manage all aspects of the retail departments within the resort and assist any department that has a need for retail items. You’ll be fluid with all store layouts and merchandise but will be the point of contact for Marrakesh Retail. By ensuring outstanding service, well-merchandised retail spaces, and seamless daily operations, you’ll help deliver memorable experiences for every guest who visits our resort.

Requirements

5+ years of retail management experience.
Previous supervisory experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and Property/Lodging Management Systems.
Experience with POS, Inventory, Cost of Sale, and Profit and Loss Statements.
Fluent in English

Nice To Haves

Spanish proficiency is a plus.

Responsibilities

Be the primary point of contact for the retail team when the Director is off property, which also includes all meetings, stand-ups and necessary communications.
Recruit, interview, and train all new associates for the retail department.
Challenge associates to be friendly and to provide suggestions to guests and associates shopping as well as up-sell items when appropriate.
Track sales on special promotions to show effectiveness and/or for future forecasting.
