About The Position

This is a posting for an existing job vacancy. The Retail Manager will be responsible for participating in all phases of operation planning and expenditures, budgeting, costing and sales reporting. This role is accountable for marketing, staffing, scheduling, client and customer relationship building. The Retail Manager will collaborate with corporate Retail Sales & Marketing and Purchasing departments and ensure strict compliance with Compass’ Quality Assurance and Health and Safety Program, Occupational Health and Safety Act and WHMIS regulations. This role also involves coordinating frequent workplace inspections and WHMIS training and reporting any workplace accident or incident.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education with at least 3 years of related management experience in food and beverage in a multi-unit, multi-faceted environment (preferably catering) or equivalent experience.
  • Proven financial management skills, including the ability to control product and labour costs as well as administrative skills.
  • Strong motivator, mentor and leader.
  • Detail-oriented individual and a strong team player.
  • Capable of thinking on your feet as well as multi-tasking.
  • Superior interpersonal skills with an ability to work with various remote clientele.
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and decision making skills.
  • Accommodate a flexible work schedule.
  • Extensive experience working within a health and safety work environment.
