About The Position

The primary responsibility is managing and supervising the day-to-day operations and upkeep of coffee shop, food venues, merchandise stores, and Retail staff. Develops and maintains standards of quality for the Retail Department and coordinates the smooth operation of the department to ensure professionalism, customer satisfaction, efficiency, and safety. Ensures the highest level of customer service and engagement is provided from staff to guests. Responsible for scheduling staff and ensuring adequate staffing levels for all locations. Ensure high safety, stewardship and safety through proper staff training. Directs the purchasing and ensures proper product levels in store and storage with the support of the Retail Products Specialist / Project Manager. Oversees inventory control systems. Oversight of expenditures and equipment repairs. Responsible for maintenance schedules, cleanliness and organization of all venues. Recruits, interviews, hires, trains, evaluates, and develops Retail staff. Maintains a safety management program for retail staff. Gives recommendations to the Senior Director of Operations for department improvements. Actively supports and participates in staff spiritual life activities. Understand and demonstrates Forest Home’s Core values. Assists co-workers in applying Forest Home’s Core values. Takes the appropriate conflict management steps with customers and other employees when needed. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Recent experience in Fast Food, Coffee Shop and/or Restaurant Supervision/Management required.
  • Ability to oversee a team of people and to manage product.
  • Uphold and support the Mission, Vision and Core Values of Forest Home.
  • Assume responsibility for initiating a pleasant atmosphere by displaying a professional attitude through performance, appearance, and demeanor.
  • Actively supports and participates in the staff spiritual life activities.
  • Regular, timely attendance.

  • Strong computer skills and highly administrative.
  • A self-starter who is motivated to learn everything about product.
  • Excellent people service skills, with the ability to provide service and streamline processes without compromising the integrity of the department or Forest Home and its policies and procedures.
  • Ability to accomplish assigned projects utilizing good communication (written and verbal), project management, time management and collaboration skills.
  • Demonstrate the ability to perform high quality work.
  • Flexible to complete all projects and duties assigned by director.
  • Regular and punctual attendance for all scheduled shifts.
