About The Position

Boscov’s is seeking a Loss Prevention Detective to join its Loss Prevention team. In this retail operations role, you will help reduce losses from theft and incorrect business procedures in a dynamic department-store environment. You will guard, patrol, and monitor the premises to help prevent theft, violence, and rule violations. The position is described as part-time.

Requirements

• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Availability to work varied schedules, including evenings, weekends, early openings, and late closings.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work with customers, management, and coworkers.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in retail loss prevention is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide loss prevention support and awareness through policies, procedures, and personal involvement.
• Conduct surveillance and assist police with shoplifter apprehensions.
• Perform store opening and closing procedures.
• Conduct safety audits and safety and fire prevention inspections.
• Respond to alarms.
• Perform insurance inspections and investigations.
• Guard, patrol, and monitor premises to help prevent theft, violence, and infractions of rules.
