Retail Loss Prevention Detective - River Landing
About The Position
The Retail Loss Prevention Detective completes daily tasks for store loss prevention and safety programs while maintaining positive relationships with Store Management. The role identifies and resolves internal and external theft, conducts apprehensions according to established policies and guidelines, and communicates with store Associates about damage and shrink initiatives. The position also supports store shrink-reduction goals and promotes safety awareness and a safe environment. The Detective provides courteous and knowledgeable customer service, maintains confidentiality, participates in investigations and surveillance as assigned, and completes related paperwork accurately and promptly. The role maintains appropriate evidence, understands law enforcement procedures, and participates professionally in legal activities as needed. It coordinates shrink-related activities with Store Management and adheres to labor laws, company policies, and procedures. A flexible schedule is needed to support business needs.

Responsibilities
- Complete daily tasks required for Store Loss Prevention and safety programs.
- Maintain positive relationships with Store Management.
- Conduct apprehensions in accordance with established policies and guidelines.
- Communicate with store Associates about damage and shrink initiatives.
- Identify and resolve internal and external theft.
- Adhere to established shoplifter guidelines and policies.
- Provide customers with timely, courteous, and knowledgeable service.
- Promote honesty and integrity and maintain confidentiality.
- Observe, apprehend, and/or deter dishonest acts from outside sources.
- Participate in investigations and surveillance as assigned.
- Ensure apprehensions are consistent with store theft activity.
- Complete and distribute paperwork accurately and promptly.
- Maintain appropriate evidence, demonstrate understanding of law enforcement procedures, and participate professionally in legal activities as needed.
- Coordinate and complete shrink-related activities with Store Management.
- Adhere to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
- Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
- Encourage Associates to use shrink-reduction resources.
- Promote safety awareness and support a safe environment.
