About The Position

The Retail Key Carrier/Coordinator executes receiving and merchandising standards, ensuring Associates process merchandise efficiently and effectively as a team. The role supports an excellent customer experience by engaging with customers, maintaining a clean and organized store, and modeling exceptional customer service. It also involves coordinating truck delivery and merchandise flow, training and mentoring Associates, monitoring team productivity, maintaining backroom organization and merchandising standards, and supporting store safety, compliance, and shrink-reduction efforts. The position is based at TJ Maxx Store 0475 in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Starting pay is $15.00 to $15.50 per hour; actual starting pay depends on relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.

Requirements

1 year of retail experience and 6 months of leadership experience.

Responsibilities

Create a positive internal and external customer experience and model exceptional customer service.
Promote honesty and integrity and maintain confidentiality.
Orchestrate truck delivery and prioritize processing merchandise onto the sales floor.
Train and mentor Associates on merchandising and processing principles.
Ensure merchandise is properly tagged, hung, secured, and coded.
Coordinate with the Coordinator on Duty to support efficient flow of goods to the sales floor.
Ensure Associates complete tasks according to the store plan and reprioritize as needed.
Monitor team productivity and coach Associates as necessary.
Organize and rotate back stock for easy replenishment.
Maintain merchandising philosophy and signage standards.
Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards in the backroom.
Ensure compliance with recycling and, where applicable, hazardous waste programs.
Communicate priorities and progress accurately and effectively with management and Associates.
Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
Partner with Management on Associate training needs.
Ensure adherence to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
Promote credit and loyalty programs.
Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
Promote safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
