About The Position

The Key Carrier role is an elevated extension of the Coordinator role. Key Carriers alternate responsibilities based on store needs, predominantly performing Coordinator duties and occasionally acting as Key Carrier, taking on a leadership role in maintaining all aspects of the store. Key Carriers must have open availability, including nights and weekends, and role-model exceptional customer service. The position creates positive internal and external customer experiences, supports store operations and priorities, and acts as Manager on Duty in accordance with company policy and procedure. It includes coaching and supporting Associates, maintaining operational standards, following opening and closing procedures, and contributing to safety, shrink reduction, credit, and loyalty programs. The role is at the Marshalls store in Kingsville, Texas. Benefits are available subject to applicable service or hours requirements and plan terms.

Requirements

Able to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends; open availability is required.

Knowledge of merchandise flow in stores.

Superior communication and organizational skills, with attention to detail.
At least 1 year of retail experience and 6 months of leadership experience.

Responsibilities

Create a positive internal and external customer experience.
Promote honesty and integrity and maintain confidentiality.
Act as Manager on Duty in accordance with company policy and procedure.
Ensure the store team performs tasks and activities according to the store plan, prioritizing as needed.
Address immediate customer service issues and provide appropriate coaching to Associates.
Exercise discretion regarding customer service policies to satisfy customers.
Maintain accurate Associate coverage in service areas to support a positive customer experience.
Ensure Associates follow operational procedures.
Ensure opening and closing procedures are carried out according to company guidelines.
Communicate accurately and effectively with management and Associates when setting and addressing priorities, and provide progress updates.
Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
Provide feedback, recognition, and coaching to Associates.
Partner with Management on Associate training needs to increase effectiveness.
Ensure compliance with labor laws, policies, and procedures.
Promote credit and loyalty programs.
Support and participate in shrink reduction goals and programs.
Promote safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
