About The Position

DICK’S Sporting Goods store teammates create a positive shopping experience through eagerness to help, product knowledge, high brand and execution standards, and the ability to prioritize. The Retail Golf Equipment Sales Associate welcomes and proactively approaches customers to understand their needs and support their shopping experience. The role also supports merchandising, store programs, safety and loss-prevention procedures, and an inclusive store environment. Teammates take an all-hands-on-deck approach to supporting the team across the store and perform other tasks as assigned by management.

Requirements

• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, and occasionally lift items weighing 15 to 35 lbs. (up to five times per hour).
• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of up to four hours.
• Ability to perform repetitive motions for short periods of up to two hours continuously.

Nice To Haves

• Prior retail experience preferred.
• Golf industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and proactively approach them to understand their needs and support their shopping experience.
• Maintain company merchandising and presentation standards, including floor sets, signage, price changes, inventory presentation, and replenishment.
• Promote company programs, including customer loyalty participation, warranty sales, and private-label credit card enrollment.
• Follow established safety, loss-prevention, and standard operating procedures.
• Maintain the confidentiality of company information.
• Help create an inclusive store environment where teammates and customers feel welcome, safe, and respected.
• Support the team across the store and perform other tasks as assigned by management.
