About The Position

Champion Home Builders, Inc. is seeking a Retail General Manager to direct and control the administration of its Sales Center in Hammond, Louisiana. The role plans, develops, and implements goals in accordance with operational procedures and the authority provided by the corporate office. The General Manager is directly responsible for the Sales Center’s profits and losses, either personally or through subordinate supervisors. The position leads the growth and daily operation of the Sales Center, including employee hiring, training, development, and supervision. The General Manager supports the sales team, oversees sales-process execution, cultivates relationships with lenders and contractors, and maintains a customer-friendly Sales Center. The role requires travel of up to 10% annually.

Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university, or five years of retail customer sales or large-ticket sales experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to travel up to 10% of the time annually.

Nice To Haves

Successful manufactured home sales experience is preferred.
Prefabricated or manufactured home industry experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Plan and develop growth of the operation, identify opportunities to expand, and evaluate competitors and the market.
Hire, train, and develop Sales Center employees to support their long-term productivity.
Conduct regular training programs for employees.
Support the team in continually prioritizing leads.
Help move transactions through the sales pipeline.
Ensure processes are followed throughout the sales process.
Create and maintain good working relationships with lenders, installers, and contractors.
Maintain a pristine, customer-friendly appearance of the Sales Center.
Promote a great customer experience and engage with customers and the team.
Directly supervise Sales Center employees, including interviewing, hiring, training, planning and assigning work, directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints, and resolving problems.
Perform other duties as assigned.
