About The Position

A Visionworks General Manager leads both the store team and the business. This business-savvy self-starter is responsible for store profitability and for guiding a service-driven team to provide a simple, human, and bold patient and customer journey from the doctor appointment through eyewear pickup. The GM works with the doctor and store associates while balancing financial performance with the patient and customer experience.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Three or more years of related experience.
• Licensed GMs must have a current State Opticians License.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Optical management experience.

Responsibilities

• Maximize store profitability while maintaining the patient and customer experience, and set and exceed organizational financial and performance goals.
• Engage regularly with the doctor to discuss business needs, associates, and the patient and customer experience.
• Prepare and plan the day's business by managing incoming traffic, doctor appointments, and scheduled eyewear services.
• Hire, train, coach, develop, and support store associates so they perform their roles with excellence and deliver a strong patient and customer experience.
• Remove obstacles and resolve issues in the patient and customer experience when needed.
• Lead, execute, and improve store operational activities to meet financial and customer experience goals.
