About The Position

Help Create Life Change Through Second Chances At New Horizons Thrift Stores, our cause is to help create life change through second chances, one purchase, one life at a time. As a Retail Furniture Team Lead, you’ll be a part of that mission by treating guests with care and patience as you lead the furniture team, receive donations, and make sure the sales floor is neat and organized. Additional tasks may be assigned at times by your supervisor. Consideration will be given to your current workload and duties.

  • No previous experience or training required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership, management, and accountability for the Furniture Associates.
  • Treat guests with care and patience.
  • Provide sales and customer service for the furniture department.
  • Load and unload furniture and donations.
  • Ensure guests are heard and cared for in a professional manner.
  • Clean, price and sell donated furniture.
  • Research pricing on donated items/products.
  • Clean and price product for the furniture sales floor.
  • Make minor repairs to furniture as needed to maximize sales.
  • Organize and lead the furniture department to maximize sales.
