About The Position

The Retail Store Floor Lead leads the retail sales team by example, builds customer connections, and communicates Vuori’s brand values through product knowledge and an optimistic outlook. The role encourages the team to maintain Vuori’s retail sales and customer experience standards. As a key member of the store leadership team, the Floor Lead supervises the sales floor, takes initiative, delegates work, and serves as a go-to person. Under the direction of the Store Manager, the Floor Lead assists with leadership duties and works directly with the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager. The Floor Lead helps create a strong customer experience, leads day-to-day store operations when the Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager is absent, and supports sales goals in a team-based commission environment. The role also contributes to store maintenance, sales strategy, community and team management, inventory needs, and opening and closing procedures. This position requires working 8-hour shifts, five days per week, with availability for morning and/or evening shifts and at least one weekend day. The role involves lifting and moving items weighing up to 30 pounds, staying active throughout the store, and reaching, bending, and using a step stool or ladder as needed. The work environment includes bright lights and music and requires working as part of a fast-paced retail team.

Requirements

Availability for morning and/or evening shifts, 8-hour shifts, five days per week, and at least one weekend day.

Responsibilities

Work with the sales team to ensure each customer receives the best experience possible.
Take ownership of the sales floor and sales team, keeping customer experience the first priority.
Prepare fitting rooms, find sizes, and provide customers with knowledgeable feedback about merchandise style and fit.
Build customer relationships by discussing product details, new products, and replenishment, and inviting customers to upcoming events.
Stay informed about new and popular products and share that knowledge with customers and the team.
Lead day-to-day store operations when the Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager is not present.
Motivate the sales team and work toward sales goals in a team-based commission environment.
Develop product knowledge in fashion and activewear to serve customers as an expert.
Lead the team in completing projects while maintaining focus on customer experience.
Communicate inventory needs to support business goals.
Work with the Retail Store Manager on daily maintenance, sales strategy, community, and team management.
Lead daily store maintenance, including restocking product, maintaining visual merchandising, and cleaning.
Follow protocol and safety standards when opening and closing the store.
Encourage employees, under the Retail Store Manager’s guidance, to give their full effort and adhere to punctuality and role responsibilities.
