Retail Field, POS & Network Technicians
About The Position
Field, POS & Network technicians are encouraged to apply. Technicians handle a wide range of installations, repairs, breakfix and upgrades for retail security products, including POS systems, networks, networked devices, access points, routers, switches, RFID smart lock access. They also set up and troubleshoot connections in various environments, connecting devices with physical cables or wireless frequencies to ensure adequate signal strength for clients. This role is suitable for Flexible Freelancers, Small Business Owners, College Graduates or 4th year students, and Techy Gig workers who have free weekday availability, as the company can work around their commitments.
Requirements
- Current Driver’s License, insurance, and a vehicle.
- Previous IT or Related technical technician experience is required.
- Technically inclined – experience with Cabling runs/ management/ testing/ terminating, Network provisioning.
- Excellent communication skills via phone, text, and email.
- Smart Phone mobile device.
- Flexible availability.
- Frequent use of hand tools.
- Travel is required in various markets.
- Lifting 60lbs or more.
- Able to climb up and down ladders.
- Over the age of 18.
Nice To Haves
- Certifications are a plus but not required.
- POS experience is a plus.
Responsibilities

- Set up and troubleshoot connections in various environments.
- Connect devices with physical cables or wireless frequencies to ensure adequate signal strength.
- Perform cabling runs, management, testing, and terminating.
- Provision networks.
- Test networks, Wi-Fi signals, and perform heat mapping.
- Install and troubleshoot access points, routers, and switches.
