Retail Field, POS & Network Technicians
About The Position
Urgent hire for POS Point of Sale Installation Technicians, Field Technicians & Network technicians. Technicians handle implementing, maintaining, upgrading, and/or repairing networks/networked devices such as access points, routers, switches, POS systems, printers, and modems. This includes Smart Lock access, setting up and troubleshooting connections in various environments, and connecting them with physical cables or wireless frequencies to create adequate signal strength for client use. This role is flexible and can accommodate freelancers, small business owners, and those with other work commitments, with potential for weekday availability.
Requirements
- Current Driver’s License, insurance, and a vehicle.
- Previous IT or Related technical technician experience is required.
- Technically inclined – experience with Cabling runs/ management/ testing/ terminating, Network provisioning.
- Excellent communication skills via phone, text, and email.
- Smart Phone mobile device.
- Flexible availability.
- Frequent use of hand tools.
- Travel is required in various markets.
- Lifting 60lbs or more.
- Able to climb up and down ladders.
- Over the age of 18.
Nice To Haves
- Certifications are a plus but not required.
- POS experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Implement, maintain, upgrade, and/or repair networks/networked devices such as access points, routers, switches, POS systems, printers, and modems.
- Handle Smart Lock access.
- Set up and troubleshoot connections in various environments.
- Connect devices using physical cables or wireless frequencies.
- Ensure adequate signal strength throughout a location for client use.
- Perform cabling runs/management/testing/terminating.
- Provision networks.
- Test networks, Wi-Fi signals, and perform heat mapping.
- Install and troubleshoot access points, routers, and switches.
