About The Position

Technicians handle implementing, maintaining, upgrading, and or repairing networks/ networked devices such as access point, router, switches, pos systems, printers, and modems. Smart Lock access, WorkStations & BreakFix, Set up and troubleshoot connections in many different environments and connect them with physical cables or wireless frequencies, creating adequate signal strength throughout a location for a client's use. This role is ideal for Flexible Freelancers, Small Business Owners, or individuals with weekday availability who are looking for flexible projects.

Requirements

• Current Driver’s License, insurance, and a vehicle.
• Previous IT or Related technical technician experience is required.
• Technically inclined – experience with Cabling runs/ management/ testing/ terminating, Network provisioning.
• Excellent communication skills via phone, text, and email.
• Smart Phone mobile device.
• Flexible availability.
• Frequent use of hand tools.
• Travel is required in various markets.
• Lifting 60lbs or more.
• Able to climb up and down ladders.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Superior knowledge of various networking technologies.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Aptitude for customer support.
• Over the age of 18.

Nice To Haves

• Smart Lock and or Lock experience a plus.
• POS experience is a plus.
• Certifications are a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Setting up and troubleshooting connections in various environments.
• Connecting devices with physical cables or wireless frequencies.
• Ensuring adequate signal strength throughout a location for client use.
• Cabling runs/management/testing/terminating.
• Network provisioning.
• Testing networks Wi-Fi signals, heat mapping.
• Installing and troubleshooting access points, routers, switches.
