About The Position

Technicians handle implementing, maintaining, upgrading, and or repairing networks/ networked devices such as access point, router, switches, pos systems, printers, and modems. Smart Lock access, WorkStations. Set up and troubleshoot connections in many different environments and connect them with physical cables or wireless frequencies, creating adequate signal strength throughout a location for a client's use. This role is suitable for freelancers, small business owners, and individuals with flexible weekday availability who are looking for additional work. All training is provided.

Requirements

Current Driver’s License, insurance, and a vehicle.
Previous IT or Related technical technician experience.
Technically inclined.
Experience with Cabling runs/ management/ testing/ terminating.
Network provisioning experience.
Excellent communication skills via phone, text, and email.
Possession of a Smart Phone mobile device.
Flexible availability.
Able to lift 60 pounds or more.
Over the age of 18.
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
Superior knowledge of various networking technologies.
Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Aptitude for customer support.

Nice To Haves

Smart Lock access or lock experience.
POS experience.
Certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

Implement, maintain, upgrade, and/or repair networks and networked devices (access points, routers, switches, POS systems, printers, modems, Smart Lock access, WorkStations).
Set up and troubleshoot connections using physical cables or wireless frequencies.
Ensure adequate signal strength throughout a location.
Perform cabling runs, management, testing, and terminating.
Provision networks.
Test networks, Wi-Fi signals, and perform heat mapping.
Install and troubleshoot access points, routers, and switches.
Utilize hand tools frequently.
Travel to various markets.
Climb up and down ladders.
Use a computer and telephone system.
Regularly stand, walk, bend over, and reach overhead.
