About The Position
Lead Retail Excellence at Penn State Health – Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. Sodexo is seeking a Retail Dining Manager to join their team at Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, Pennsylvania. This role involves leading daily operations, driving sales performance, and developing a frontline team within a healthcare environment. The manager will help create an exceptional guest experience and support a positive, service-driven culture, enhancing the experience of patients, visitors, and staff through quality retail dining services.
Requirements
- Leadership experience in retail food service, hospitality, or coffeehouse operations
- Strong supervisory skills with the ability to engage and develop teams
- Passion for customer service and delivering a high-quality guest experience
- Ability to multitask and succeed in a high standards-driven environment
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Flexibility and willingness to take on additional responsibilities as needed
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) and comfort with retail systems and reporting tools
- Minimum 1 year of Management Experience
- High School Diploma or GED or Equivalent
Nice To Haves
- Experience in high-volume retail or branded coffee concepts preferred
- Experience with cash controls, sales goals, and team development strongly preferred
Responsibilities
- Lead and support daily retail operations in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- Manage cash positions, balancing registers and supporting bank deposit processes
- Drive sales growth and support achievement of operational and financial goals
- Train, coach, and develop frontline associates while fostering engagement and growth
- Support food and beverage service execution while ensuring quality and service standards
- Address customer concerns and support an exceptional guest experience
- Promote a positive and productive work environment focused on teamwork and accountability
- Support compliance with food safety, sanitation, and company standards
- Assist with scheduling, labor management, and day-to-day operational priorities
