About The Position

Sodexo is seeking a Retail Dining Manager to join their team at Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, Pennsylvania. This role involves leading daily retail operations, driving sales performance, and developing a frontline team in a fast-paced healthcare environment. The manager will focus on creating an exceptional guest experience and supporting a positive, service-driven culture, enhancing the experience of patients, visitors, and staff through quality retail dining services.

Requirements

  • Leadership experience in retail food service, hospitality, or coffeehouse operations
  • Strong supervisory skills with the ability to engage and develop teams
  • Passion for customer service and delivering a high-quality guest experience
  • Ability to multitask and succeed in a high standards-driven environment
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Flexibility and willingness to take on additional responsibilities as needed
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) and comfort with retail systems and reporting tools
  • Minimum Education Requirement - High School Diploma or GED or Equivalent
  • Minimum Management Experience - 1 year

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in high-volume retail or branded coffee concepts preferred
  • Experience with cash controls, sales goals, and team development strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support daily retail operations in a fast-paced healthcare environment
  • Manage cash positions, balancing registers and supporting bank deposit processes
  • Drive sales growth and support achievement of operational and financial goals
  • Train, coach, and develop frontline associates while fostering engagement and growth
  • Support food and beverage service execution while ensuring quality and service standards
  • Address customer concerns and support an exceptional guest experience
  • Promote a positive and productive work environment focused on teamwork and accountability
  • Support compliance with food safety, sanitation, and company standards
  • Assist with scheduling, labor management, and day-to-day operational priorities
