FT Retail Department Coordinator
About The Position
The Retail Department Coordinator executes receiving and merchandising standards, ensuring Associates process merchandise efficiently and effectively as a team. The role supports an excellent customer experience through customer engagement, maintaining a clean and organized store, and modeling exceptional service. Responsibilities include coordinating truck deliveries, prioritizing merchandise processing to the sales floor, training and mentoring Associates, monitoring team productivity, and partnering with management to address training needs and store priorities. The Coordinator helps uphold merchandising, safety, compliance, and shrink-reduction standards.
Requirements
- Able to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
- Superior communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.

- 1 year of retail experience and 6 months of leadership experience.
Responsibilities
- Create a positive internal and external customer experience.
- Promote honesty and integrity and maintain confidentiality.
- Orchestrate truck delivery and prioritize processing merchandise onto the sales floor.
- Train and mentor Associates on established merchandising and processing principles.
- Ensure merchandise is properly tagged, hung, secured, and coded.
- Communicate with the Coordinator on Duty to ensure efficient flow of goods to the sales floor.
- Ensure Associates complete tasks and activities according to the store plan, reprioritizing as needed.
- Monitor team productivity and coach as necessary.
- Organize and rotate back stock for easy replenishment.
- Maintain merchandising philosophy and signage standards.
- Maintain organization, cleanliness, and recovery standards in the backroom.
- Ensure compliance with recycling and, where applicable, hazardous waste programs.
- Communicate priorities and progress accurately and effectively with management and Associates.
- Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
- Partner with Management on Associate training needs to increase effectiveness.
- Ensure adherence to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
- Promote credit and loyalty programs.
- Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
- Promote safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
